The Second Punic War! (Article)

Scipio Africanus defeats Carthage in the Plain of Zama during 212 BC, due to his tactical skills and decisions.

Because of Scipio Africanus, Hannibal and the army of Carthage has been destroyed. Due to Scipio’s quick thinking, he was able to out-maneuver the Carthaginians using the same tactics Hannibal used against Rome. Using the 10,000 talents he received from Rome, Scipio was able to bribe the Numidians to help us, which gave us an advantage in the war. Because of Scipio’s formation, we were able to defeat the Numidians.

After defeating the Numidians, we forced the Carthaginians to pay us 10,000 talents, and made them destroy their whole navy save 10 ships. The most important thing we got from winning however was the island of Sicily. Because of Scipio’s win, we were able to get the island in the middle of the world, Sicily. This will greatly increase our trade and profits from farming and other important things, due to Sicily’s good soil.
