Julius Caesar assassinated on March 15, 44 BC in Rome because of the many enemies Julius had accumulated.

Julius Caesar, one of the best dictators of Rome was killed! The senate and the Latifundia grew restless with their lack of power and money, and decided they wanted to kill Caesar once and for all. Brutus and Cassius, two of the closest people to Caesar, led the assassination, with Brutus dealing the final killing blow.

The intricate plan created by the senate was very interesting. First, they separated Caesar and his friend, Mark Antiny, so that Caesar would be alone. They then led him to the theater where the assassination took place. They ambushed him, and left him for dead in the theater. 3 hours later, Mark Antiny found Caesar’s dead carcass.

The killing of Caesar greatly affected Rome, and led to the start of the Roman Empire, and out first emperor Augustus.
