Slavery - Its ruining Rome! (Editorial)

Slavery is something that has been used by the Latifundia and Patricians for a long time, but a big question is whether it is right or not.

The Latifundia have been using slavery on their farms, and have been robbing the plebeians of their jobs. This is not right! Plebeians are living on the streets today, army veterans are coming home, only to see everything they own gone! We cannot even get a simple job anymore, thus us being unable to provide for our families. The Latifundia’s terrible ideal of getting richer will not help the plebeians, nor help Rome at all. Their catastrophic ideas will eventually lead to the downfall of Rome!

Though slavery is vital to the economy of ancient Rome, it is starting to rip Rome apart as a whole, and we are but a shadow of what we used to be. Slaves are thought of as scum, but they still have a better life then some plebeians.

Many years ago, we would have never thought this would be possible, and even now that we are experiencing it; we still have a hard time believing it. Also, these egotistical Patricians won’t spare single denarii for us, but will spend up to 6,000 for some pesky slave! The depressing life of plebeians is going much to far, these Latifundia must face their wrongdoings, and give plebeians back what they once had.
